FOUNDATION ISSUES IN AN OLD 1887 HOUSE

This renovation by Old Soul Restoration is being done in Oliver Springs, TN. Episodes will be posted periodically for you to see the actual progress of this renovation project.

You never know what you’re going to uncover when you start a restoration/renovation on a 130 year old house. This is one of the living rooms with a dormer. This end of the house had water and termite damage so bad that the original dormer was un salvageable. After taking it down we had to Jack up the house and fix the foundation, We then had to tear up the floors to make sure it all gets fixed properly. Lots of work ahead of us but this house is going to be fabulous when it’s done.

Contractor found for exterior restoration! We are hoping to salvage most of original lap board siding. Keep watching and see if we can! Exterior starts tomorrow!
